Description

At Forester Family Farms, our chickens are raised the way nature intended — on fresh pasture with sunshine, fresh air, and room to move. Unlike mass-produced grocery store chicken raised in confinement barns, our birds spend their lives outdoors on grass where they can forage naturally for bugs and greens while being moved regularly to fresh pasture.

This slower, healthier lifestyle produces chicken with richer flavor, better texture, and cleaner nutrition you can actually taste. Our birds are raised with care from day one and processed in small batches to ensure freshness and quality.

Our chickens are never given antibiotics, growth-promoting hormones, preservatives, or additives. We never overcrowd our birds, and we never raise them the industrial way.

Our whole chickens are perfect for roasting, smoking, grilling, or meal prep. Many customers tell us they can immediately taste the difference between pasture-raised chicken and store-bought chicken.

This is real chicken — raised outdoors on pasture, not in a factory barn.

  • Moved twice a day on pasture
  • Fresh air, sunshine, and a natural forage diet
  • Juicy, flavorful, all-natural chicken
  • Great for smoking, roasting, or grilling
  • No hormones or antibiotics
  • Processed on farm under exemption

Cooking Tips:

  • Oven Roasted: Roast at 400–425°F until the skin is golden and the thickest part of the thigh reaches 165°F. Let rest before carving for juicier meat.
  • Smoker: Smoke low and slow for rich flavor while keeping the meat tender and juicy.
  • Spatchcock Grilling: Flatten the bird for faster, more even cooking over charcoal or pellet grills.
  • Save the bones and carcass afterward for homemade broth or soup stock.
